RBC Wall of Distinction
Inaugurated in 1991
The RBC Wall of Distinction honours those individuals and teams who have made significant contributions to the University's athletics program in the following categories:
1. Athletic participation and contribution as an athlete
2. Outstanding services to athletics
3. National Championship teams
4. Other Bishop's teams who have excelled
Previous Recipients:
LENNOXVILLE - The Bishop's University Department of Athletics added two names to the RBC Wall of Distinction at a ceremony held on Saturday afternoon in the John H. Price Sports Centre. This year's inductees are David King '92 and Pierre Tibblin '91, who both starred on the Gaiters men's basketball team in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The inductees were also honoured at the Gaiters' basketball doubleheader later that afternoon.
The RBC Wall of Distinction was created in 1991 to honour individuals who have made significant contributions to the Bishop's University athletic program through athletic participation and contribution as an athlete or through outstanding services to athletics as well as teams who have won national championships, or otherwise excelled.
A total of 42 individuals and eight teams have been placed onto the RBC Wall of Distinction.

This year's inductees are Bruce Stevenson ’76, a former basketball player and recently-retired Dean of Student Affairs at Bishop’s; David Thornhill, who was a star in both football and basketball during the late 1970s; and Eddie Pomykala, who coached the Gaiters’ men’s basketball team from 1984 to 2008.
