ROBERT A. GORDONBA ’60, HSD ’63, MA ‘70, DLC '04
Basketball
Robert “Squee” Gordon ruled the basketball world at Bishop’s in the early ‘60s. He showed great leadership at that time and was selected as Bishop’s Athlete of the Year in 1960. Squee’s keen shooting touch and aggressive drives to the basket made him the leading scorer in the OSLAA in the 1962-63 season. An conference all-star, Squee was chosen Most Valuable Player a remarkable four times.
A true gentlemen with an engaging personality, Dr. Gordon has gone on to become an internationally respected educator and administrator. He now serves as President of Humber College and lives in Toronto with his wife Mary. The Gordons have two daughters, Victoria and Naomi.
