SHERBROOKE, Que. – The Bishop's Gaiters women's soccer team stepped on the Coulter Field pitch for the first time in the 2016 campaign. Home cooking was not the answer for Bishop's as the visiting Montreal Carabins spoiled the party with a 6-0 victory over the Gaiters.

How it happened:
- Montreal opened the scoring with a pair of goals in less than two minutes at the 12 minute mark and held a 2-0 halftime advantage
- A quick strike early in the second half took away any thoughts Bishop's had of a comeback
- The Carabins tallied four goals in total after the break to make the final 6-0 and spoil the Gaiters home opener
- Bishop's did not register a shot on goal while Gaiters' keeper
