SHERBROOKE, Que. – The Bishop's Gaiters women's hockey team will host Northeastern University in their first home game of the season. Puck-drop is set for 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 13 and 11 a.m. on Jan. 14 at the Jane and Eric Molson Arena.
Rankings:
In the second ACHA rankings the Gaiters (3-1-0) sit No. 7 in the East, one spot ahead of Northeastern (5-2-0).
Bishop's Breakdown:
Bishop's beat the University of Connecticut (1-5-1) 4-1 before the winter break.
Arianne Charette (Sainte-agathe-des-monts, Que. /The Winchendon School ),
Kayla LeTouzel (L'Orignal, Ont./St. Mary's),
Jessica Briere (Sherbrooke, Que. ) and Mariah Snow (Halifax, N.S./Citadel H.S. ) all found the back of the net for the Gaiters in their decisive win.
Northeastern Notes:
Northeastern took down the University of New Hampshire (3-5-0) 3-1 back on Dec. 3.
Coach's Comments:
"It is very exciting for the girls to play at home as it is something that they have been working towards for a year and a half, said head coach
Brent Bailey. "There is a lot of excitement in the dressing room and hopefully there is some excitement on campus, to see the team play. Playing Northeastern is great, having a chance to play a team that we know we are competitive with; it should be an exciting couple of games on Saturday and Sunday. I think it is a great experience for the girls in their first home game."

Bishop's fell to Northeastern 3-2 in overtime on Nov. 19 in Boston. Rookie
Callia Spooner (Ottawa, Ont. ) was named MVP for the Gaiters; she scored the tying goal in the third period to send the game into overtime.
