COLUMBUS, Ohio – Lauren MacCulloch (Toronto, Ont. )'s two goals helped the Gaiters defeat the Adrian College Bulldogs 4-1, to open Bishop's University's ACHA National Championship campaign on Wednesday afternoon in Columbus, Ohio.  
 
Adrian opened the scoring midway through the first period, but MacCulloch for Bishop's was able to tie it up, 1-1 at the end of the first period. Stephanie Cunningham (Markham, Ont./Bill Crothers) and Arianne Charette (Sainte-agathe-des-monts, Que. /The Winchendon School ) each found the back of the Adrian net for the Gaiters in the second period to take the 3-1 lead into the last 20 minutes. MacCulloch got her second of the night late in the third period to solidify the Gaiters 4-1 win over Adrian College
 
The Bulldogs outshot the Gaiters in the first period 14-11 but Bishop's dominated the shots, 19-5 in the second and 8-4 in the third period.

Bishop's is next in action on Thurs, Mar. 15^th at 4:45 p.m. against the third seed in the West, Assiniboine College.
