SHERBROOKE, Que. - The Concordia Stingers picked up their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory over the Bishop's Gaiters, Sunday afternoon on Coulter Field in RSEQ women's soccer action.
Highlights:
Madeleine McKenzie opened the scoring for the Stingers with an early goal in the 15
th minute. Melisane Lafrenaye would add to the lead with goal in the 67
th. As for Bishop's
Cristina Tavares (Kingston, Ont./Regiopolis-Notre Dame C.H.S.) scored in the 76
th minute thanks to a gorgeous header off a strategically placed cross. The Gaiters are now are now 0-4-1 on the season.
