LENNOXVILLE, Que. - Thursday November 11th marks the return of RSEQ University Women's Basketball to Bishop's University. The 2021-22 campaign opens at home when the Laval Rouge et Or travel to Lennoxville for a 6PM tip-off on Thursday. Single game and season tickets are available for purchase at www.gaiters.ca/tickets.

The two teams met four times during the 2019-20 season, with no game being decided by more than 8-points. The Gaiters and Rouge et Or last met on February 13, 2020 at Bishop's with the visitors escaping with a 71-70 victory.

THINGS TO KNOW
The RSEQ University Women's Basketball Conference is composed of five teams - the Bishop's Gaiters, the Concordia Stingers, the Laval Rouge et Or, the McGill Martlets and the UQAM Citadins. The Laval Rouge et Or finished the 2019-20 regular season atop the RSEQ standings with 24 points from 16 games and won the RSEQ Championship. The Bishop's Gaiters earned a berth in the RSEQ semi-final but fell to the UQAM Citadins. This season, each team will play a sixteen-game regular season, matching up with each opponent four times over the next four months.

The Gaiters competed in five pre-season games against nationally-ranked Carleton (#5), Ottawa (#6) and Queen's (#10) and are set to get underway in RSEQ action.
 
This year's roster sees the return of some familiar faces including Jael Kabunda (Montreal, Que./College Montmorency), the 2020 U SPORTS Rookie of the Year, and Amaiquen Siciliano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield), the 2020 RSEQ Player of the Year and a 2020 U SPORTS 1st Team All-Canadian as well as the addition of some new faces. The 2021-22 roster is available here.
