The women's hockey team looked to continue their unbeaten streak to start this season as they traveled to face the defending national champion Concordia Stingers. The Gaiters, sitting at 2-0, tried to put a damper on the Stingers banner ceremony. They did just that when Justine Turcotte scored with just under 2 minutes to go in the first period. Concordia came back down on the ensuing faceoff and tied the game, setting a blank sheet for the 2nd period. Another late goal in the 2nd period, this time from Marjorie Bolduc, tied the game at 2. The Stingers once again responded with a goal before the horn and went into the third up 3-2. Good goaltending from both sides in the 3rd period held the score as it was and the Gaiters ultimately fell 3-2.
