MONTREAL – Marshall Mather (Montreal, QC/Loyola H.S. / Concordia University) scored two tries for the Bishop's Gaiters but it wasn't enough as McGill's kicker Martin Laval booted through six penalties, many from distance, and added a conversion and the Redbirds topped the Gaiters 25-15 on Saturday in Montreal.
 
The final game of the RSEQ season was essentially a quarter-final as the winner earned the chance to advance to the playoffs and the loser was on the outside looking in.
 
Axel Montgomery (Toronto, ON/Shawnigan Lake School) kicked through a penalty and converted one of the tries to round out the Bishop's scoring.
 
McGill's triumph sets up a semifinal match-up with Ottawa while Bishop's focuses on the future.
