LENNOXVILLE, Que. – Neleh Vigneau Sargeant (Lake Loon, NS/Lockview H.S.) scored three goals and added an assist as the Bishop's Gaiters got past the McGill Martlets 7-0 on Sunday afternoon in Lennoxville.
 
The win moved Bishop's to 5-3-0 through eight games.  That puts them in second place in the RSEQ. McGill falls to 2-6-0 and in sixth place.
 
On Friday Bishop's fell 5-1 to the Carleton Ravens (3-5-0), also at the Jane and Eric Molson Arena.
 
Sunday's hattrick was the second of her career in the regular season for Vigneau Sargeant who was an all-star a year ago. She also netted three goals against McGill last year. Justine Turcotte (Drummondville, QC/John Abbott College) scored twice and added an assist, captain Marie-Camille Théorêt (Magog, Que., Champlain-Lennoxville) scored a goal and had two assists, and rookie Gabrielle Santerre (Sherbrooke, QC/Champlain-Lennoxville) added to her league-lead in points by picking up two helpers.  She now has 16 points through eight games.
 
Aglaé René de Cotret (Rouyn-Noranda, QC, Champlain-Lennoxville) was in net and earned her second victory of the season.  She made 16 saves.
 
On Friday, Santerre had the lone marker for Bishop's, a short-handed goal while Rene de Cotret was between the pipes.
 
Bishop's is back in action this week for a pair of games.  On Friday they are in Montreal to face the No.1 Concordia Stingers (8-0-0) and Sunday they host the Montreal Carabins (4-2-2), a team they are tied with in the standings, at 3:30 p.m. Tickets for the crucial early-season match-up are available at www.gaiters.ca/tickets.

Vendredi, elles se rendent à Montréal pour affronter les Stingers de Concordia (8-0-0), et dimanche, elles accueillent les Carabins de Montréal (4-2-2), une équipe avec laquelle elles sont à égalité au classement, à 15h30.
