It was the Gaiters turn to host UQAM on Saturday night after winning the first one of the week on Thursday night. The Gaiters once again proved to be too much for the Citadins on both ends of the floor. The Gaiters had a comfortable 37-27 lead at the half, but blew it open in the third quarter when they took a 60-39 lead. They coasted to another victory by the score of 72-53. This one was a little different, however, as the Gaiters clinched first place in the RSEQ. They are now set to host a semi-final game on March 2, 2022. Opponent and time to be confirmed soon. 

How it Happened... 
… Amaiquen Siciliano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield) was terrific again, finishing with 19 points and 7 assists 
… Victoria Gauna (Mendoza, Argentina) looked like her old self, scoring 16 points and grabbing 7 rebounds.  
… The Gaiters had 22 team assists in the game 
… The Gaiters had 7 blocks as a team 

For UQAM... 
… Fredlaine Verrier led the way with 18 points and 7 rebounds 

Next Up 
The Gaiters are back on the road next week for a matchup with the Laval Rouge et Or. They'll be in Quebec City next Friday, Feb. 17th. Tip-off is set for 6pm.
