Box Score MONTREAL – Four Gaiters had two points as the Bishop's Gaiters beat the Montreal Carabins 3-1 on Super Bowl Sunday in Montreal. The win clinches second place and home ice advantage in the first round of the RSEQ playoffs for Bishop's.
Maude Pépin (Pont-Rouge, QC, Cegep Limoilou),
Gabrielle Rousseau (Sherbrooke, QC/Champlain-Lennoxville) and
Eliane Michaud (St-Gabriel-de-Valcartier, QC/) each had a goal and an assist while rookie
Gabrielle Santerre (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC/Champlain-Lennoxville) picked up a pair of helpers in the victory.
Ericka Gagnon (Quebec City, QC/) was between the pipes and made 25 saves.
The win cliches second place in the conference for the Gaiters. They will host Montreal in the first round of the playoffs. Game 1 is set for Thursday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Jane and Eric Molson Arena.
Before the playoffs, the Gaiters will wrap up the regular season when they travel to the nation's capital to face the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
