ELMIRA, Ont. – Captain Gabrielle Santerre (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC/Champlain College Lennoxville) scored 7:30 into overtime to send the Woolwich Memorial Centre into a frenzy as the Bishop's Gaiters won their U SPORTS quarter-final 4-3 over the UBC Thunderbirds on Friday afternoon.  It was her second of the game as she was named Bishop's player of the game. Santerre also assisted on Annika Lafrenière (Ottawa, ON, École Secondaire Publique Louis-Riel ) tying goal that came with 32 seconds left and the goalie pulled in the third period.
 
Ericka Gagnon was solid in net for Bishop's she made 19 saves including a breakaway in the extra period.
 
Bishop's moves onto the U SPORTS semifinal and will face the winner of the University of Toronto and UNB on Saturday at 7 p.m.

ELMIRA, Ont. - La capitaine Gabrielle Santerre (Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC/Champlain College Lennoxville) a marqué à 7:30 en prolongation pour mettre le Woolwich Memorial Centre en ébullition alors que les Gaiters de Bishop's ont remporté leur quart de finale U SPORTS 4-3 contre les Thunderbirds de UBC, vendredi après-midi.  Il s'agissait de son deuxième but de la partie et elle a été nommée joueuse du match à Bishop's. Santerre a également contribué au but égalisateur d'Annika Lafrenière, qui a été marqué alors qu'il restait 32 secondes à jouer et que la gardienne de but a été retirée en troisième période.
 
Ericka Gagnon a été solide dans le filet de Bishop's, réalisant 19 arrêts, y compris une échappée en période supplémentaire.
 
Bishop's accède à la demi-finale de U SPORTS et affrontera le gagnant de l'Université de Toronto et de l'UNB samedi à 19 h.
