SHERBROOKE, Que. – The Bishop's University Gaiters have a number of teams in action this weekend.  The women's soccer team will play UQAM at 8 p.m. on Friday and host UQTR on Sunday at 3 p.m.  Women's rugby will play Laval in Quebec City on Saturday at 1 p.m.  The golf team will be playing in the McGill Invitations on Saturday and Sunday.  Lacrosse will host Ottawa on Saturday night at 7 p.m. on Coulter Field following the football team's home opener at 1 p.m.
 
The Lady Gaiters soccer squad (0-4-0) will face the UQAM Citadins (0-1-3) Friday night in Montreal at 8 p.m.  Bishop's is coming off two loses to tough teams, No.2 Montreal (3-0-1) and McGill (2-1-1).  UQAM lost to Concordia (2-2-0) and tied the Martlets last weekend.  The Gaiters will finish the weekend action at home against UQTR (0-3-1) at 3 p.m.  UQTR is also coming off a pair of loses to Montreal and Sherbooke (3-1-0). 
 
Womens rugby (0-3-0) will face Laval (2-1-0) in Quebec City on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m.  The Gaiters fell to Carleton (1-2-0) while Laval beat McGill (1-2-0) over the weekend. 
 
The golf team will take part in the second RSEQ tournament hosted by McGill at Le Victorian Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.  Martin St-Pierre (Sherbrooke, Que.) enters the tournament in second overall as an individual and the Gaiters are sixth as a team on the men's side. 
 
The lacrosse team (3-1) will host Ottawa (1-2) on Saturday night at 7 p.m.  The Gaiters fell 11-5 to McGill (4-0) on Wednesday night in which McGill took top spot in the CUFLA East standings.  Over the weekend Ottawa beat Concordia (0-4).
