LENNOXVILLE, Que. – The Bishop's Gaiters lacrosse team steps back on the field this weekend as they open the 2024-25 season under the guidance of new head coach Drew Pollock. Pollock is no stranger to Bishop's as he's been an assistant coach for 14 years and played at BU prior to that.
 
The Gaiters host Ottawa on Saturday night at 7 p.m.  Tickets are available at www.gaiters.ca/tickets while the game can be streamed live at www.gaiters.ca/webcast.
 
A quick turnaround sees them playing at McGill on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Bishop's returns several players from a year ago, including their three CUFLA All-Canadian Honourable Mentions in Antoine Tremblay (Calgary, AB/Central Memorial High School), Max Naysmith (Toronto, ON/St. Michael's College School) and Markus Young (Gatineau, QC/Darcy McGee High School).
 
Brock hosts this year's Baggataway Cup slated for Nov. 1-3.  Three teams from the East and three from the west will compete to determine the top university lacrosse program in Canada.  The Gaiters last won the title in 2011.

LENNOXVILLE, Qué. - L'équipe de crosse des Gaiters de Bishop's sera de retour sur le terrain cette fin de semaine alors qu'elle entamera la saison 2024-25 sous la direction du nouvel entraîneur-chef Drew Pollock. Pollock n'est pas étranger à Bishop's puisqu'il a été entraîneur adjoint pendant 14 ans et qu'il a joué à l'Université de Bishop's avant cela.
 
Les Gaiters accueillent Ottawa samedi soir à 19 h. Les billets sont disponibles à www.gaiters.ca/tickets et le match peut être diffusé en direct à www.gaiters.ca/webcast.
 
Les Gaiters joueront ensuite à McGill dimanche à 13 h.
