SHERBROOKE, Que. – Sherbrooke native
Simon Winquist (Sherbrooke, Que./Champlain-Lennoxville) scored with two seconds left in the fourth frame to put the Bishop's Gaiters up 6-5 and punch their ticket into the 2015 Baggataway semifinal. The Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association championships are taking place at Bishop's University. Winquist's tally came just 15 seconds after Guelph tied the game to seemingly send the game into overtime.
Winquist' heroics propel the Gaiters into the 2015 Baggataway Cup semifinal and a date with the Western Mustangs. Western earned the western conference's top seed after posting an 11-1 regular season record. Coulter Field will host the biggest game for Gaiters lacrosse since 2011 when Bishop's won the championship. The battle of the purple will faceoff at 1 p.m. Tickets are still available at
