Mason Austen (High River, Alta.), they will look to light the lamp as they open their home schedule. The double-header weekend for the Gaiters concludes on Sunday at noon when then Queen's Gaels (4-2) are in town. The Bishop's-Queen's game will be a re-match from exactly one week earlier where the Gaiters were victorious 14-8 in Kingston, Ont.
*Note all teams in the CUFLA east were given two victories as a result of Concordia withdrawing from the league.
Women's SoccerHot off a draw with Concordia last weekend, the Gaiters women's soccer team (0-3-1) will look to build momentum in their third weekend of the season. On Friday the Gaiters are in Montreal to face the No. 7 Carabins (2-0-2). Game time is 6 p.m. They will step back onto Coulter Field on Sunday for a match-up with the UQTR Patriots (0-4-0), the only team in the RSEQ without a point.
Men's RugbyEcole Technologie Superieure (ETS) from Montreal is a new addition to the RSEQ Men's Rugby league this year. Bishop's (1-1, 5 pts.) will step onto the pitch with ETS (0-2, 0 pts.) on Sunday at 3 p.m. in Montreal. The Gaiters are coming off their first win of the season at home against Sherbrooke, while upstart ETS fell 31-3 against McGill, both games took place last Sunday.
GolfThe Bishop's Gaiters golf teams will tee-up for the final official time in 2015 this weekend. They are at the RSEQ Championships hosted by UQAM at the Ile de Montreal Golf Club starting on Sunday. The three-round event will crown the RSEQ champions. While the Bishop's men who currently sit in seventh place overall are well back from contending for a title, they will look to put solid rounds together and top last year's sixth place finish. The top four men's teams punch their ticket to the national championships in the spring. The points-based system has Bishop's with 1800, 660 points back of fourth-place ETS.
On the women's side, Bishop's will look to gain experience as they have two freshman competing along-side senior
Lindsay Reid (Beaconsfield, Que.).
