SHERBROOKE, Que. – The Bishop's University Gaiters lacrosse team (5-5) hosts the Nipissing Lakers (4-6) on Saturday at 5 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m. on Coulter Field. 
 
Ottawa Sweep
The Gaiters completed the Ottawa sweep last weekend, beating Ottawa (3-17) 17-13 and Carleton (1-11) 12-8.  Eric Mawdsley (Innisfil, Ont.) had six goals in the victory over Ottawa and Cam Bateman (Port Moody, B.C.) and Andrew Neilson (Rothesay, N.B.) each had three goals against Carleton. 
 
Nipissing
Last week Nipissing beat Ottawa 15-7 at home. 
 
Veteran Leader
Rhett Handley (Estevan, Sask.) was named Provigo Robert Lafond Athlete of the Week for his performance against Ottawa and Carleton.  He had had two goals and four assists in the win over Ottawa and had one goal in Bishop's victory over Carleton. 
 
Next up
The final weekend of regular season CUFLA action will determine how the standings play out, with the Lakers and Gaiters fighting for a third place finish and a home playoff game.
