SHERBROOKE, Que. - The Bishop's University men's rugby team will look continue their winning ways when they host the Sherbrooke Vert & Or on Friday night, Sept. 23. Kickoff at Coulter Field is set for 8 p.m.
 
The Gaiters (1-1) hit the win column in dominant fashion last week, as they picked up all five points in a 36-8 win over the Concordia Stingers at Coulter Field. Lee Hudson led the Gaiters with two tries, while Mike Izzard, Patrick Lawton, Brock Spencer and Robert McGovern all found the end zone. Lawton added three conversions to finish with 11 points.
 
The Vert & Or (0-1-1) are looking for their first win of the season. They lost 24-5 to Montreal at home last week, after opening the season with a 17-17 draw against ETS.
 
As Sherbrooke and Bishop's have been drawn into opposite divisions this year, this will be the two local rivals' only regular-season contest. The Gaiters have won the last four meetings between the teams, most recently in last year's Quebec conference quarter-final, a 15-7 win on Oct. 31.
 
The Gaiters are second in the 2-3-6 Division with five points, four back of undefeated Montreal, who plays McGill on Saturday. With a win, Bishop's would move, temporarily, into a tie with the Carabins, or the Gaiters could go into sole possession of first place if  they are able to score four tries and claim the bonus point.
 
Friday is part of the annual Homecoming Friday tripleheader of action at Coulter Field on Friday night. Action gets underway at 4 p.m. with women's soccer taking on UQAM, with the Bishop's-McGill women's rugby game following at 6 p.m.
