The UQAM Citadins scored three times in the first half as they shut out the Bishop's Gaiters, 4-0, in RSEQ women's soccer action at Saputo Stadium in Montreal, Thursday. The Citadins scored in the fifth, 23rd and 41st minute to take the 3-0 halftime lead, and added a final tally in the 63rd minute.
Marie-Pier Gougeon, Julia Ligouri, Kacey Vandeboncoeur and Laurence Martel each found the next for UQAM. Daphne Perreault picked up the win in net for UQAM.
Mehana Heins (Ottawa, Ont./Merivale S.S.) took the loss in goal for Bishop's, while
Larissa Lehmann (Montreal, Que./Dawson College) was named the Gaiters' player of the game.
The Gaiters are back in action on Sunday as they host the McGill Redmen for Seniors' Day. Kickoff is set for 4:15 p.m.
