Gaiters Hit the Ice in Boston

SHERBROOKE, Que. – The Gaiters women's hockey team is back in Boston for another Sunday afternoon match-up.  This week they take on Northeastern University at 5 p.m.

Bishop's Breakdown;
Bishop's beat the University of Vermont 7-1 to open their season back on Oct. 21.  They took down Boston College 4-2 last week.  Kayla LeTouzel (L'Orignal, Ont./St. Mary's) had two goals and one assist in the contest and was named the Provigo, Robert Lafond Bishop's University Athlete of the Week.  The Gaiters are eighth in the ACHA East standings.

Northeastern Notes:
Northeastern (3-2) beat the University of Connecticut twice, 3-2 and 4-3.  They also won 3-2 against the University of New Hampshire, but fell 2-1 and 2-0 to Boston College.  Northeastern is seventh in the ACHA East standings.

Coaches Comments:
"Northeastern will be another big test and measuring stick for us," said bench boss Brent Bailey. "Being relatively unknown I think we surprised Vermont and BC a little, which maybe worked to our advantage. For us to be successful this weekend we need to out work them and grind out the game in their zone. They have some talent but I believe we play faster and can make the game difficult for them, especially in transition. Should be another close and exciting game. "
