SHERBROOKE, Que – The Bishop's Gaiters women's basketball team will host the Laval Rouge et Or in Mitchell Gym on Friday night in RSEQ action.  Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
 
Bishop's Breakdown:
The Gaiters (2-2) are coming off a 74-51 loss to the No. 2 team in the nation, the McGill Martlets.  Ashley Milhomme (Repentigny, Que./Collège Montmorency) had 12 points and three rebounds and Edith Noblecilla (Guayaquil, Ecuador/Santo Domingo de Guzmain) had 12 points and put up five rebounds in the contest.  Noblecilla was named the Provigo, Robert Lafond Bishop's Athlete of the Week for her performance against McGill.
 
Laval Line-up:
The Rouge et Or (2-2) beat UQAM (0-4) 63-54 last week.  Genevieve Derome led Laval with 15 points and eight rebounds.  Jane Gagne had 14 points and seven rebounds. 
 
Previous Match-up:
The Gaiters took down the Rouge et Or by a score of 75-71, when they last met at the PEPS on Nov. 17.  Ashley Milhomme (Repentigny, Que./Collège Montmorency) led the Gaiters off the bench with 22 points and Mara Marchizotti (Buenos Aires, Argentina/) had 11 points and nine rebounds.  Marie-Eve Berrouette added 11 points.  For Laval, Raphaelle Cote had 17 points and eight rebounds and Gagne had 15 points and 13 rebounds.  
 
National Numbers:
Noblecilla sits first in the U SPORTS standings with 6.3 assists per game.

Santa Gaiter:
Friday's game has a special add-on for fans attending Mitchell Gym.  Patrons will have the chance to get their photo taken with "Santa Gaiter." He will be present to collect non-perishable food items in benefit of families of Lennoxville Elementary School.
