SHERBROOKE, Que. – The Bishop's University women's rugby team will hold down Coulter Field this
weekend, as the only team in action at home. They host No. 5 Ottawa Saturday at 1 p.m.
 
Last Time Out:
Last weekend, during homecoming the Gaiters (0-4) fell 51-12 to Montreal (2-2).  Ottawa (3-1) beat McGill (0-4) 116-0. 
 
Athlete of the Week:
Meagan Parsons (Beaconsfield, Que./John Abbott College) was named the Provigo, Robert Lafond Athlete of the Week for her performance against Montreal.  She was very strong defensively and she made a lot of big runs with the ball while running through would be tacklers. She gave the Gaiters the opportunity to mount a comeback.
 
"Meagan was a leader on the pitch and easily our best player," said head coach Adam Spirk.
 
Next Up:
Bishop's is next in action on Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m. in Montreal against McGill.
