SHERBROOKE, Que. – Bishop's is back on the road for two games against the Rochester Institute of Technology this weekend in ACHA women's hockey action. Face-off is set for 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 27
th and 7 a.m. on Jan. 28
th.
Bishop's:
Bishop's (7-1-0) is coming off a weekend road trip to New Jersey where they beat Montclair State (12-2-0) 12-1 and to Boston where they narrowly defeated Northeastern (5-5-0) 3-2.
Jessica Belanger (Sherbrooke) led all scorers with a hat trick against Montclair State.
Arianne Charette (Sainte-agathe-des-monts, Que. /The Winchendon School ) had two goals and two assists against Montclair State and scored the winning goal against Northeastern.
RIT:
Rochester Institute of Technology (0-12-0) has not played since Nov. 17
th and 18
th, when they fell 3-2 and 7-5 to California University of Pennsylvania (5-9-0).
Coach's Comments:
"I think that the girls are confident, they are improving every day," said head coach
Brent Bailey. "Saturday against Montclair was one of our best games to date. Our concentration now is to keep improving. We don't know what Rochester is like and we don't have a lot of common opponents so our plan is to focus on playing our game."
Next Up:
The Gaiters will be back on the ice at the Lakehead University Challenge Cup on Feb. 2
nd and 3
rd. They will play Iowa State University (7-6-1), Assiniboine Community College (11-5-0) and Lakehead University (8-3-2) at the tournament.
