MONTREAL – Captain, Duncan Lambert (Kingston, Ont./Regiopolis Notre Dame C.H.S.) fired five threes in the second quarter to put the Gaiters up 23 at the half and out of the reach of the Redmen.  Bishop's beat McGill 79-69 in RSEQ men's basketball action on Thursday night in Montreal.
 
Lambert wasn't the only Gaiter with hot hands, Abdul Kamane (Montreal, Que./Vanier College) put up a double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds and Jordan Thornhill (Montreal, Que./John Abbott College) put up 12 points and had seven rebounds to round out the Gaiters in double figures.
 
For McGill, JJ Hamel-Casey led his team with 22 points and Anthony Fisiru was the only other Redmen in double figures, with 10 points. 
 
The Gaiters controlled from the start, holding the Redmen to just six points in the first frame.  Bishop's continued to dominate, holding on to a 24 point lead at the end of the third quarter.  McGill closed the gap in the fourth, but Bishop's held on to win 79-69.
 
With the win the Gaiters stay undefeated in conference play while McGill falls to 2-1.
