MONTREAL - A cold Montreal Saturday evening produced cold results for the Bishop's Gaiters men's lacrosse team.  They lost 10-3 to the McGiIl Redmen in a CUFLA East playoff.
 
It was a feeling out process in the early going. Gaiters' goalie Matt Wolf (Rye, NH/Gould Academy) made key saves in the  10^th and 15^th minute to keep the game scoreless. McGill's goalie Michael Gallo made a highlight of his own to stone Xavier Perron (Sherbrooke, Que./Champlain College Lennoxville) with three minutes left in the opening stanza.  He backed it up with a solid stop off a Taren Cook (Rothesay, N.B./The Holderness School) shot.
 
The Redmen opened the scoring with a just over a minute left in the first quarter on the power play and carried that 1-0 advantage into the first break.
 
McGill tallied the only two goals in the second frame and took a 3-0 lead into halftime.
 
Bishop's got on the board in the third quarter but the Perron tally was the Gaiters' only highlight as McGill scored three times for a 6-1 advantage heading into the final quarter.
 
A delay of 27 minutes due to a fire alarm at Percival Molson Stadium with 17:33 remaining in the fourth quarter did not stop the Redmen.  After the stoppage they continued to control play. McGill tallied four more times to the Gaiters two after the break to make the final 10-3.

The loss ends the Bishop's season while McGill moves onto the Baggataway Cup.
