SHERBROOKE, Que. – The Bishop's Gaiters have done what they can.  They took care of business this weekend at the Jane and Eric Molson Arena.  They beat the UConn Huskies 7-0 and 7-1 on Saturday and Sunday respectively in ACHA Division 2 Women's Hockey.
 
The two wins close out the inaugural regular season for the Gaiters in the US club hockey conference and now they wait.  They wait for Thursday, Mar. 1 for the official ACHA rankings to come out to see if they have qualified for nationals that will take place in Columbus, Oh from March 8-18.
 
The Gaiters wrap up the season at 14-5.  In the last set of rankings that came out on Jan. 28, Bishop's was ranked fourth in the East. They need to be in the top-6 to qualify and appear poised to do that after the pair of convincing wins this weekend.
 
UConn falls to 2-10-1 after the loss.
 
On Sunday, Jessica Belanger (Sherbrooke) led the way for Bishop's. She tallied four goals, while Jessica Briere (Sherbrooke, Que. ) scored two and added an assist.
