COLUMBUS, Ohio – Arianne Charette (Sainte-agathe-des-monts, Que. /The Winchendon School )'s hat-trick was not enough for the Bishop's Gaiters as they fell, 4-3 to the Lakehead University Thunderwolves in the ACHA D2 National Championship semifinals in Columbus, Ohio.

Freshman, Charette opened the scoring just seconds into the game.  Lakehead was able to tie it up, with fifteen minutes to play in the first frame.  The Thunderwolves took the 2-1 lead into the first intermission, after the goal with four minutes to play.  Lakehead came out strong in the second increasing their lead to two, early in the period. But Bishop's would not let game get away from them, Charette scored back-to-back goals to tie up the game before the second intermission.  The third frame was a hard-fought battle on the ice and the Thunderwolves came out on top. They scored with eight minutes remaining and held their lead till the end.  The Gaiters fell 4-3 to Lakehead in the semifinals to wrap-up their inaugural season in the ACHA D2.
