LENNOXVILLE, Que. – Maude Archambault (St-Augustine-de-Desmaures, Que./Cegep de Montmorency) led the Gaiters with 21 points as Bishop's squeaked by the UQAM Citadins 80-77 on Saturday night in RSEQ women's basketball action. 

Marie Berrouette (Montreal, Que./Dawson College) put up a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.  Amaiquen Siciliano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield) had 16 points and Metchline Gabelus (Montreal, Que./Champlain College St-Lambert) and Ashley Milhomme (Repentigny, Que./Cegep de Montmorency) each had 15 points.  All of the Gaiters points came at the hands of their starters.

Raphaelle Roy-Ash led the way for the Citadins with 17 points and 10 boards. 
 
UQAM got off to the hot start but the Gaiters were quick to take back control. They led 20-13 after one quarter of play.  Bishop's held their lead into the halftime break, up 35-30.  The Citadins tied it up at 47 with 3:30 left in the third frame.  Bishop's fought back to take the two-point lead into the fourth frame.  UQAM tied it up once again with just over two minutes to play in the game and took the lead with 1:47 left on the clock.  Siciliano responded by draining a three.  Gabelus made two clutch lay-ups with seconds left on the clock to solidify the Gaiters 80-77 win over UQAM. 

Next Up
The Gaiters will face the McGill Martlets for a home-and-home series next weekend.  Thursday night will be in Montreal and Saturday night will be back in Lennoxville, both games will tip off at 6 p.m.
