MONTREAL – The Bishop's men's basketball team got off to a quick start and carried the momentum through to halftime where they led 45-35. The McGill offense came alive in the third quarter to even things up at 64 heading into the final frame. The Gaiters defense would not be able to contain the McGill offense in the fourth quarter as McGill handed the Gaiters an 84-80 defeat.
Nervens Demosthene (Terrebonne, Que./Cegep de Montmorency) led the attack for Bishop's putting up 17 points.
Kevin Davis (Baltimore, MD/Digital Harbor H.S.),
Abdul Kamane (Montreal, Que./Vanier College), and Joany Castor-Thadal also scored in double figures for the Gaiters.
The McGill offense was led by Quarry Whyne, who came off the bench and scored 21 points including what would be the game winning three-point shot.
