Bishop’s Battles McGill in home-and-home series; #BellLetsTalk game Saturday

LENNOXVILLE, Que. – After splitting a pair of games against UQAM last weekend, the Bishop's Gaiters women's basketball team head back to Montreal on Thursday, this time for a tilt with the McGill Martlets.  The two teams will play again Saturday in Mitchell Gym as the Gaiters host their third annual #BellLetsTalk game.
 
Where we stand
Last Saturday was a huge win for Bishop's. They now hold a 2-1 edge in the season series over the Citadins as they battle for the fourth and final playoff spot.
 
McGill is 4-3 and sit alone in third place in the RSEQ. They have beaten the Gaiters in their two meetings hold a 29-point advantage in point differential.

Stats-Stats-Stats
Sirah Diarra at 13.1 points per game and Gladys Hakizimana at 12.0 per game are the only two Martlets in the top 16 in scoring. They sit in sixth and eighth respectively.
 
For Bishop's it's Maude Archambault (St-Augustine-de-Desmaures, Que./Cegep de Montmorency) leading the way.  The three-point specialist is third in the conference at 15.8 points per game. She's also taken (91) and made (23) more shots from behind the arc than anyone else in the RSEQ.
 
Marie Berrouette (Montreal, Que./Dawson College) continues to sit in second place in conference rebounding at 11.4 per game.  She is behind Diarra who grabs 12.4 boards per contest.

Next Up
After Saturday night's game, the Gaiters will enjoy a bye week. They next step onto the court on Friday, Feb. 8 in Quebec City against Laval.
