MONTREAL – Abdul Kamane (Montreal, Que./Vanier College) scored 25 points and Connor Kelly (Brockville, Ont./St. Mary's C.S.S.) added 21 but it was all for not as the No. 8 Bishop's Gaiters fell 79-72 to the Concordia Stingers on Thursday night in Montreal to open their RSEQ University men's basketball season. Cedrick Coriolan scored 20 in the win for the Stingers.
 
A slow start put the Gaiters behind the eight ball and they were never able to recover.  They trailed 33-19 after the first quarter, 48-39 at half and 65-54 after three stanzas. 

Final from Montreal: @BishopsGaiters 72, @The_Stingers 79. The Gaiters could not overcome their slow start as they drop their season opener. Played well but the Stingers outplayed them on both ends of the floor. Gaiters need to shake this off and prepare for UQAM. #GaiterNation
