Bishop's Beat
The Gaiters are coming off their first loss of the season against Laval last Sunday. Despite that, they remain the No.6 ranked team in U SPORTS.
They are led by sophomore
Amaiquen Siciliano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield) who currently leads the RSEQ in scoring with 18.8 points per game. Rookies
Jael Kabunda (Montreal, Que./College Montmorency) and
Deborah Aboagye (Montreal, Que.) are also making noise early in their university careers. Kabunda is second on the team in scoring, third in the conference with 17.3 points per game and Aboagye is the Gaiters third leading point getter and seventh in the RSEQ at 12.8 points per game.
Kabunda is also fourth in rebounding with 8.5 per contest.
McGill
The Martlets got off to a slow start (0-3), but a win over rival Concordia (1-3) last weekend got them in the win column. They play No. 10 Laval (3-1) on Thursday night in Quebec City before hosting the Gaiters on Saturday.
Sirah Diarra is the only Martlet in the top-14 in scoring in the conference. She sits ninth with 11.8 points per game.
