LENNOXVILLE, Que. – The Bishop's Gaiters women's soccer team is back on the pitch Friday and Sunday in the RSEQ's first two-game weekend of the season. On Friday, No. 5 Laval is in Lennoxville for the back end of a home-and-home series with the Gaiters at 7 p.m. Sunday will see Bishop's make the cross-town trip to play Sherbrooke at 1 p.m.
Bishop's sits at 1-3-0 and in sixth place in the conference. At 3-0-1 Laval tops the RSEQ standings. Sherbrooke is still looking to get in the win column; they are 0-3-0.

Friday vs. Laval
The Gaiters played a solid game in Quebec City on Tuesday. They lost 2-0, but the game was even closer than that. Bishop's, despite sitting multiple regular starters, had the best chances in the first half but were unable to find the back of the net. Laval scored in the 65
th minute, and then sealed it in stoppage time with their second of the night.
The Gaiters are now 0-13-0 since 2013 against Laval.

Sunday at Sherbrooke
The Gaiters and Vert et Or will meet for the first time this year on Sunday on the 'Nouveau Concorde' field at the Universite de Sherbrooke. Sherbrooke is the only team in the RSEQ without a point in the standing through three games. They lost 11-1 to Montreal, 5-1 to UQAM and 4-1 to UQTR to start the season.
Since 2013, Bishop's is 1-9-2 in Sherbrooke derbies.
Next Up
After the two games this weekend, Bishop's will play two more next weekend. They host UQTR on Friday, Sep. 20 as part of the Gaiters celebration of Women in Sport. On Sunday the travel to Montreal to play the UQAM Citadins.
