MONTREAL – After trailing by as much as 15 points in the third quarter, the Bishop's Gaiters women's basketball team turned things around and completed an impressive comeback coming away with a 69-62 victory over the UQAM Citadins.
How It Happened
The Gaiters got off to a slow start trailing by six after the first quarter. UQAM then continued to roll in the second quarter pushing their lead out to 14 points at halftime. After a back and forth start to the second half Bishop'sfound themselves down by 15, midway through the third quarter. All of a sudden, they found another gear. The Gaiters were able to get the lead down to seven points at the end of the third. They then proceeded to take control of the game in fourth quarter, outscoring the Citadins 25-11 in the final ten minutes, on route to a 69-62 victory.
The win improves Bishop's to 5-3 on the season in the RSEQ, just two games back of Laval for first place.

It's a quick turnaround for the Gaiters as they will host UQAM in the back end of the home-and-home series on Saturday night. Opening tip in Mitchell Gym is set for 6 p.m.
