MONTREAL – The Bishop's Gaiters men's basketball team finished their regular season with a 72-61 victory over the UQAM Citadins on Saturday.
How it Happened
The Gaiters got off to an electric start as they opened the game on a 15-1 run to jump out to an early lead. They would continue to dominate the opening frame, taking a 25-9 lead after the opening ten minutes. UQAM would start to chip away in the second quarter but only made a small dent as Bishop's would take a 39-25 lead at halftime. The Citadins would continue to draw closer to the Gaiters in third, outscoring them 18-12 in the quarter cutting the lead down to 51-43 at the end of the third. Bishop's would close it out in final quarter, outscoring the Citadins 21-18 to win by a final score of 72-61.
With the win the Gaiters finish the season with an 8-8 record and third place in the RSEQ.

The Gaiters are back in action on Wednesday night when they travel to Montreal to take on the Concordia Stingers in a RSEQ semi-final game. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m.
