MONTREAL – Led by Amaiquen Siciliano's (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield) 28 points, the Bishop's Gaiters women's basketball team finished their regular season with an 86-76 victory against the UQAM Citadins.
 
How it Happened
The first quarter was a very tight, back and forth ten minutes. The Gaiters ended the quarter with a 16-14 lead. Bishop's then started to gain control of the game in the second quarter outscoring UQAM, 26-19 to take a 42-33 lead at halftime. The Citadins would start to fight back in high scoring third quarter but the Gaiters would increase their lead a little more taking a 70-59 lead into the fourth quarter. UQAM continued to fight in the final quarter and got within three points of Gaiters but were unable to complete the comeback as Bishop's closed out the season with an 86-76 victory.
 
With the win the Gaiters finish the season with a 10-6 record and in second place in the RSEQ.
 
Next Up
The Gaiters return to the hardcourt on Wednesday night when they host UQAM in a RSEQ Semi-final game. Opening tip in Mitchell Gym is set for 7 p.m.
