QUÉBEC, Que. - The duo of
Amaiquen Siciliano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield) and
Victoria Gauna (Mendoza, Argentina/), combined for 50 points in Bishop's opening game of the Rouge et Or Tournament versus the Ottawa Gee-Gees. The Gaiters took advantage of their opportunities, scoring 22 points off of turnovers and defeated the Gee-Gees by a score of 89-77 on Friday night at Laval. Siciliano and Gauna, both with Argentina National Team experience, went 9 for 16 and 12 for 14 respectively from the field and shot 50% from 3-point range.
Jael Kabunda (Montreal, Que./College Montmorency) (10) and
Kalina Alexander-Renaud (Gatineau, Que./Nouvelle-Frontieres) (11) also scored in double figures.
On Saturday, the Gaiters faced the Carleton Ravens but lost the second game of the pre-season by a score of 92-59.
Next Up
The Gaiters head to Kingston, Ont. on Saturday for two match-ups with the Queen's Gaels. Game times are set for 6:30PM on Saturday and 2PM on Sunday.
