MONTREAL, Que. - The Gaiters needed to secure a victory on Friday night in Montreal to keep the post-season dream alive and that is exactly what they did. The purple and white defeated the ETS Piranhas 20-7 in the Gaiters' final regular season game of the 2021 RSEQ season. Bishop's finishes the regular season with a 3-3-0 record and a total of 15 points.

After missing a number of key players over the past two weeks, the Gaiters came into Friday's game strong and determined in what was one of the most crucial games of the season thus far for the team. Caelan Abbott (Toronto, ON/Trinity College School) scored two tries for the Gaiters while both Kyle Corrigan (Ottawa, ON/St. Paul H.S.) and Jack Shaw (Oakville, ON/Shawnigan Lake School) tallied one try each in their return to the pitch. Matthew Shufelt (Brigham, QC/Cégep de Sherbrooke / Université de Sherbrooke) was named the MVP for the Gaiters.

UPDATE
The Gaiters have secured a spot in the post-season after Concordia defeated Montreal earlier today. Bishop's will face the McGill Redbirds next Sunday October 31st in an RSEQ semi-final in Montreal. Game time to be determined.
