LENNOXVILLE, Que. - The Bishop's Gaiters women's soccer team is back on the field for a Thursday evening match-up in Montreal with UQAM prior to the Thanksgiving break.
Bishop's opened the 2021 campaign at home against the Citadins, the defending RSEQ regular season champions, and came away with a 1-0 victory. Since then, the Gaiters have accumulated a 2-3-2 record through the first half of the season and currently sit in fifth position in the RSEQ standings. The second half of the season officially begins for the Gaiters Thursday at 7PM at Stade Saputo (synthétique) and the purple and white will look to get another win in an effort to move up in the standings and secure a playoff spot.
Despite losing the opening game of the season, UQAM has collected points from all of their games this season with the exception of last weekend's match against Montréal which the Citadins lost 3-0. UQAM is sitting just above the Gaiters in fourth spot with a 3-2-2 record.
