LENNOXVILLE, Que. - It has been 14,904 hours since the Gaiters last stepped onto the court in Mitchell Gymnasium for an RSEQ competition. The last contest at Bishop's was one for the ages when Joany Castor Thadal knocked down a three-point shot at the buzzer to give the Gaiters the win over the UQAM Citadins and the title of 2020 RSEQ Champions. Tomorrow, the purple and white will return to the court to tip-off the 2021-22 RSEQ season at home at 8PM versus the Laval Rouge et Or. Single game and season tickets are available for purchase at
www.gaiters.ca/tickets.
The two teams met four times during the 2019-20 campaign and split the season series 2-2 with just two of the games ending in a double digit point spread.

THINGS TO KNOW
Despite the departure of some key senior athletes, the Gaiters can go far in the season, being fortunate enough to get a U SPORTS transfer in
Daniel Levitt (Montreal, Que./) (UNB) and some key first-year players to help replace the graduating seniors. Among the familiar faces, veterans
Carl Jacob (Sherbrooke, Que./Champlain-Lennoxville) and
Ibrahim Ngom (Montreal, Que./Vanier College) will be ones to watch, bringing both their experience and aggressive play to the team. The 2021-22 roster is available
here.
Bishop's will compete against each of the four teams in the RSEQ four times this season and will aim to return to the conference championship game for the second straight year.
The Gaiters competed in five pre-season games against three nationally-ranked programs - the Carleton Ravens (#1), the Ottawa Gee-Gees (#3) and the Queen's Gaels (#7) - to prepare for the 2021-22 RSEQ season.
