LENNOXVILLE, Que. - The Bishop's Gaiters women's hockey is back on the ice for two games this weekend - one on Saturday and another on Sunday. On Saturday, the Gaiters will make the trip to Montreal to face Concordia at 2PM while Ottawa travels to Lennoxville on Sunday for a 3:30PM puck drop.
Bishop's sits at 1-1-0-0 in the standings after the opening weekend. Ottawa boasts the same 1-1-0-0 record while Concordia is 0-1-1-0 after losing to Ottawa in overtime and McGill in regulation.
SATURDAY @ CONCORDIA
The Gaiters and Stingers will meet for the first time this regular season at the Ed Meagher Arena at Concordia on Saturday. Concordia earned one point from its opening weekend after losing 2-1 to Ottawa in overtime before losing its second game by a score of 2-1 at McGill in regulation. The Gaiters and Stingers faced-off twice in the pre-season with Concordia getting both wins. The Gaiters will look to build off the momentum from their first U SPORTS win last Sunday and propel themselves to a victory.
SUNDAY vs OTTAWA
Ottawa travels to Lennoxville for a Sunday afternoon matinee match-up with Bishop's at 3:30PM. This will be the first meeting between the two teams. The Gee-Gees opened the season with an overtime victory over the Stingers on Friday and then lost to the Carleton Ravens 3-0 on Sunday in regular time. The Gaiters will look to take the first head-to-head match-up with the Gee-Gees this season.

ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT
Gabrielle Rousseau (Sherbrooke, Que./Champlain-Lennoxville) of the Bishop's women's hockey team was named the Provigo, Robert Lafond Athlete of the Week for her performance over the weekend.
Rousseau, a second-year studying psychology, led the Gaiters to their first-ever U SPORTS victory on Sunday afternoon at the Jane & Eric Molson Arena. The sophomore scored two goals in the first home contest of the season and earned first star honours for her performance during the 4-3 victory over the Montréal Carabins.
