MONTREAL, Que. - The Gaiters put on an impressive performance in Montreal for an 80-47 victory over the McGill Martlets on Saturday night.
Bishop's and McGill had a balanced start to the game, exchanging baskets to end the first quarter with an identical fourteen points on the board. The Gaiters picked up the tempo and never looked back, scoring twenty-one, twenty-five and twenty points in the final three quarters while holding the Martlets to just forty-seven points throughout the contest.
First-year forward,
Victoria Gauna (Mendoza, Argentina/), led the Gaiters in scoring with an impressive 28-point performance and tallied twelve rebounds, posting the only double-double of the game.
Jennifer Louis (Montreal, Que./Cegep Edouard-Montpetit) was the other Gaiter scoring in double figures with 14 points on the night.
Iman Ibrahim was the top scorer for the Martlets with 12 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals.
Bishop's shot over 47% from the field and 28% from 3-point range. The purple and white took advantage of McGill's turnovers, scoring thirty turnover points. Bishop's also doubled up on the Martlets with 46 points in the paint to McGill's 22.

The Gaiters will return home for the final time in 2021 on Thursday November 25 to tip-off against the UQAM Citadins at 6PM in Mitchell Gymnasium.
