LENNOXVILLE, Que. - The Concordia Stingers defeated the Bishop's Gaiters women's hockey team by a score of 4-1 on Sunday afternoon at the Jane & Eric Molson Arena.
Emmy Fecteau opened the scoring for the Stingers just under six minutes into the first period to take a 1-0 lead.
Jessica Bélanger (Sherbrooke, Que., Champlain-Lennoxville) evened the score two minutes later for the Gaiters on the power play.
Marie-Camille Théorêt (Magog, Que., Champlain-Lennoxville) and
Neleh Vigneau Sargeant (Dartmouth, N.S./Lockview H.S.) recorded the assists.
In the second period, the Stingers' Marie-Pascale Bernier scored early on a 5-on-4 to regain a one goal lead for Concordia.
Jessymaude Drapeau and Brigitte Laganiere each recorded a goal for Concordia in the final stanza to make the final 4-1 in favour of the visitors.
Charley Wing (Huntsville, Ont., Mother Teresa C.S.S.) was in net for the Gaiters and made 16 saves.
The loss drops the Gaiters to 3-5-0 on the season.

The Gaiters are back in action on Friday night in Ottawa to face the Gee-Gees at 7PM. Bishop's will then return to Lennoxville on Sunday November 28 to face the McGill Martlets at home. Game is set for 3:30PM.
