OTTAWA, Ont. - The Gaiters women's basketball team dropped an 80-69 decision to the Carleton Ravens in pre-season action on Friday October 29 in Ottawa at the Raven's Nest.
Third-year guard
Amaiquen Siciliano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield) led the Gaiters with 22 points and two steals, while junior
Jael Kabunda (Montreal, Que./College Montmorency) had 18 points on the day. Rookie
Victoria Gauna (Mendoza, Argentina/) notched nine points, with
Kalina Alexander-Renaud (Gatineau, Que./Nouvelle-Frontieres) adding seven in the loss.
Jennifer Louis (Montreal, Que./Cegep Edouard-Montpetit) had seven rebounds throughout the game, the highest of any Gaiter. Bishop's had 30 points in the paint.
KINGSTON, Ont. - The Bishop's University men's basketball team dropped their last pre-season game, 93-70, to the Queen's Gaels on Friday October 29 at the Queen's ARC.
In Friday night's contest, third-year guard
Carl Jacob (Sherbrooke, Que./Champlain-Lennoxville) led the Gaiters with 15 points and three rebounds.
Daniel Levitt (Montreal, Que./) and
Carl Dubois (Montreal, Que./Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf) were not far behind, finishing with 13 points apiece and a combined four rebounds.
Sophomore forward,
Michel Hakizimana (Gatineau, Que./), ruled the glass on the night, leading all players with 7 rebounds. Bishop's had 29 points off the bench.

The Gaiters open the 2021-22 season at home against Laval on Thursday November 11 in Mitchell Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 6PM for the women while the men's game is set for 8PM.
