LENNOXVILLE, Que. - This Saturday will mark the 686th day since a purple and white Gaiters' uniform has been seen in action. But, after all of this time, that is about to change as the Gaiters are ready to finally open the highly anticipated 2021 season on Saturday.

After receiving the Week 1 Bye, the purple and white is more than ready to get back on the field. For the first time in the Gaiters' four year history in the Atlantic University Sport (AUS), the Bishop's football team will open their season at home on Coulter Field. The Gaiters will face the Mount Allison Mounties in the home opener game set for 2PM local time, 3PM Atlantic on Saturday. Due to capacity limits, the game is sold out but Gaiters fans can catch all the action live at
AUS.TV.
The Gaiters are coming off of a 4-4 regular season in 2019 and competed in the Loney Bowl, hosted by Acadia, for the first time in BU history. The Gaiters will be looking to build on 2019's successes when they take to the field on Saturday.
Mount Allison finished 2019 with a 3-5 record and opened the 2021 season with a tight 10-9 win in a defensive stand with Acadia in the first week of AUS action.
