The Martlets were in town on Thursday night for the RSEQ season-opener to take on the Gaiters in Mitchell Gym. Bishop's was clinging to a 22-21 lead after the first quarter. The game opened up in the second and the Gaiters found some breathing room, taking a 44-32 lead into the break. The momentum from a good second quarter set the tone for the rest of the game, as Bishop's pulled it out 73-57.

... Jael Kabunda (Montreal, Que./College Montmorency) led the way for the Gaiters with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists
... Reigning 2-time RSEQ MVP Amaiquen Siciliano (Buenos Aires, Argentina/Velez Sarsfield) had 15 points, 8 assists and 3 rebounds.
... Reigning RSEQ Rookie of the Year Victoria Gauna (Mendoza, Argentina) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.

The Gaiters will travel to Montreal to take on the Concordia Stingers next Thursday, Nov. 10th at 6PM.
