Returning from the only bye week of the season, the Bishop's Gaiters women's soccer team hit the road for the first time this indoor soccer season to face the Carleton Ravens on Sunday afternoon.
Both teams were looking to get their first win of 2022 in the initial meeting between the Gaiters and Ravens.
The Gaiters played hard but it was the Ravens who took the game by a score of 3-2.
In the first half, the Ravens found the back of the net twice but the Gaiters got themselves on the board.
Marie-Pierre Beaudoin (Ottawa, ON, John McCrae S.S.) recorded her first goal of the 2022 indoor season to make it 2-1 Carleton at halftime.
After the break,
Marie-Pierre Beaudoin (Ottawa, ON, John McCrae S.S.) tallied her second goal of the day to tie the game at 2-2.
Unfortunately, the Ravens scored late to escape with a 3-2 victory.
Beaudoin was named Bishop's MVP for her two-goal performance.

The Gaiters will host the rematch with the Ravens at the Centre Multisport Roland-Dussault in Sherbrooke on Sunday March 13th, 2022. Kick-off is set for 2PM.
