The Mt.A Mounties used two blocked punts, and a fourth quarter comeback to beat the Gaiters 18-15 on Saturday in Sackville, N.B.

…A slow first half riddled with penalties didn't allow either team to grab momentum
…Mt.A blocked a punt with 26 seconds left in the half for the game's first major
…Bishop's defense made a big play themselves when Jake Kelly (Markham, ON/Bill Crothers S.S.) had 45-yard pick-6 in Q3
…Mt.A's second punt block of the day came late in Q4 and led to 7 points to tie the game
…Mt.A kicked a 35-yard field goal with 41 seconds left that proved to be the winning points
…In total there were 31 penalties resulting in 215 yards
 
For Bishop's…
…Noah Laursen (Calgary, AB/Bishop Carroll H.S.) kicked a 27-yard field goal at the 4:27 mark of Q2 to give Bishop's a 3-1 lead
…Laursen added his 2^nd field goal, 17 yards 6:35 into the Q3
…Jake Kelly's (Markham, ON/Bill Crothers S.S.) pick-6 on the ensuing drive gave Bishop's a 13-8 lead and momentum. Kelly is becoming a public enemy in Sackville; he returned a fumble for a TD in last year's AUS semifinal
…the Gaiters out-scored Mt.A 12-0 in the third quarter but were unable to get a point in the final stanza
 
For Mt.A…
…Two blocked punts were the difference for them as they led directly to 14 points
…After the second blocked punt, Mt.A scored the first offensive TD of the day with 2:22 remaining to tie the game at 15-15
…The late FG put Mt.A ahead for good as they outscored Bishop's 10-0 in the fourth
