The Gaiters men's basketball team took the court for the second leg of Thursday night's doubleheader in Montreal. The Stingers were riding 3-game losing streak, while Bishop's dropped their first game of the new year. Both teams played the first quarter as if they had their seasons on the line and Concordia came out of the busy opening 10 minutes with a 21-18 lead. The Stingers extended their lead in the second, holding a strong 44-32 lead at the half. The Stingers were able to keep Bishop's at arm's length throughout the third, and held a 61-55 lead heading into the fourth quarter. The Gaiters came out flying in the fourth quarter, and a basket with 14 seconds to go tied the game at 73. That would do it, and the teams headed to OT. It took not one, not two, but three overtime periods for a winner to be declared. After 81 and 86-all ties solved nothing, the Gaiters escaped with a 98-94 victory.
How it Happened...

… The Gaiters had 4 players over the 10-point mark
… Bishop's out-rebounded Concordia 54-41
